(from "Hello (7)") 4
I think that I might end up taking a nap in a little bit. I splurged and ordered Chinese. I got a lot of food for $11! (fried rice, shrimp lomein, dumplings, a coke, and $2 tip ) Now I'm getting sleepy though.
I worked out, took a shower, got the trash out, took the rent over (they still don't know when the carpets will be installed), and did the mail thing.
The A/C is on now... feels soooooo nice.

Dragon Con (Board gathering) - 3
Yeah, their whole registration process sucks turds.
If you have the money now, buy the tickets now. That's my take on it. I'm getting things in advance not just to save money, but to keep a lit fire under my ass. If I don't save the rest, then I'll be wasting the ticket... and that's something I'll try even harder not to do.
I'm trying to see it as: there's not 9 months for things to go wrong, there's 9 months to make sure they go right. I made a commitment... to myself, and to A2, and to everyone else who might show up. Hell, if w. can try to make it from NORWAY, I can sure as shit try to make it from Pennsylvania.
Life sucks. My life sucks. If I've got to live Dragon Con to Dragon Con, then so be it. At least it keeps be going.
All that to say... buy the ticket!!!!! (This is me being selfish, but...) I really want to meet you, J2!

Dragon Con 2004 (w/A2 - 8)
I'm going to send out the $45 tomorrow (for the badge).
9 months to save!
9 months to save!
This is going to suck shit (2)
I tried to spend a little time on the color thing. It was pretty hellish. (took over an hour to do 2 forums) That thing is unbelievably slow. It actually takes a few seconds to do things like switch between windows, cut and paste a few digits... just out of curiosity, I clicked on my name, then on the place where it takes you to my bio. I timed it. It took a minute and a half from click to "done".
I'm glad that I have it as backup, but in all honesty, I'm surprised that I ever stayed online, being that was the first computer I ever accessed the net with. (Well, I guess I adjusted. I got quicker the quicker my computers got, I suppose. I remember ir being slow, but not slow to the point of wanting to cry! I guess that was back then I wasn't spoiled yet.)
Something funny though, when I installed IE, all my old bookmarks were there, imported (somehow) from Netscape, even though Netscape is long gone. (I miss it!) It was an interesting trip down memory lane... rs's board, the PTD chat.... pretty freaky, actually.
Anyway, if the colors look off, please let me know. It's really tough to see color on LCD screens. It's also weird because I see things flat, as opposed to convex like on a standard monitor.

(Movie Ticket - 3)
They're releasing the director's cut of "Alien" in theaters. That would be pretty cool to see.
i agree
I think it's been a year since my last theater outing... maybe longer. The last movie I saw in the theater was the StarTrek one... I think it was "Nemesis"... whatever the most recent one was. Before that it was "Hannibal".
Seeing movies at home has advantages... 2 main ones: smoking is allowed, and the bathroom is clean. ;)

This completely sucks. I can't even tell you how SLOW that old computer is. It's completely maddening.
If I can get my brother to take me, then I have to take this thing in and send it off. The fun part will be clearing this thing up before sending it away.
I'm not happy about this.
